Re: Looking for a fantasy/steampunk artist

I found two artists. You wouldn't believe how many portfolios I got  (and some of them were totally awful and they didn't read the spec - I was getting a lot of painted work and isometrics and 3D work)

This has been quite an interesting experience!

Re: Looking for a fantasy/steampunk artist

I've got a similar post to this over on a game artists forum too, and looking through deviant art but it is extremely hard to filter out artists who are available. I've been fleshing out the spec a little and have some more counts of things - coming to about 60 icons and minimum of 30 backdrops at t...

Re: Looking for a fantasy/steampunk artist

The icons fall into low-res interface design, the other stuff requires far more talent.

Really doesn't look like the same people do interface elements and fantasy art.

Re: Looking for a fantasy/steampunk artist

Been trawling deviantart and have come to the conclusion that I'm better off having one person for the site icons/navigation elements and someone else for the avatars/background scenes so if you are interested in either rather than both, get in touch.

Re: Looking for examples of forms, checksheets, etc

I was asking about tools to make wireframes the other day and someone offered a library of form elements they'd made which of course is long lost in an irc backscroll. There's certainly lots of this kind of stuff out there.

Looking for a fantasy/steampunk artist

As I've mentioned on another thread, I'm looking for an artist/s for a long-term part-time sort of relationship to do art for a side project of mine. It'll be paid work not "oh have some shares in this project when its done" but I'm not made of money, hence the long-term part-time thing :)...

Re: Greetings from Australia

Yeah, the fun part about deviantart is *finding* stuff in that huge mass of Stuff. There is an enormous amount of art there and as with all creative things, it isn't always tagged as well as you want it to be >.< I was actually planning on lurking for a while and posting when I'm a bit more sure of ...

Re: Do you sell your work on Society6 or ImageKind or the li

Small correction on Flickr as I use that site quite a bit - for a start it is predominantly a photo site, so not really a good place for inkscapers. It does have a commercial arrangement with Getty Images where you can license work through that site. However, I don't think Getty is exactly a go-to p...

Re: Art Portfolio with Inkscape

I'm specifically looking for an artist at the moment but just in the sniffing around stage and I'd strongly prefer Inkscape just because of the open source thing (I'd like users to be able to contribute to this site too but want an artist to kick it off) and honestly I'm thinking it is going to be m...

Re: Happy Australia Day!

Well I signed up to this forum a day late for this, but Australia day generally involves going out, having a bbq (preferably at the beach) and having something like lamb chops or prawns or something. While drinking beer. And yes, some places do have fireworks :)

Greetings from Australia

Yet another new person ... I use inkscape for this and that (mostly widgets and icons on websites), but particularly joining this forum in the hope of bumping into someone that does fantasy art.

If anyone can point me at a better place to find inkscape artists I'm all ears :)
