"Expand" equivalent?
I want to convert a pattern-filled object so that it translates according to Shutterstock's vector requirements. They are aware of Inkscape but mostly issue guidelines according to Illustrator. They want contributors to "expand" pattern-filled objects. Is there an equivalent for Inkscape?

Windows 7, Inkscape 0.91 So basically, Inkscape does not open: .ai, or .eps files. I tried to download and install Ghostscript and that doesn't seem to have done a thing. I tried to convert an .ai file in Adobe Reader and that didn't work. I tried, per one suggestion, to simply change the file exens...
