Hi
Thank you for all the help, however, I think you may have misunderstood me a little. I blame this on the headline I made for my initial post
This is what I had in mind:

Re: How do I make a rectangle which bend at a precise angle
Yes, without knowing exactly what you mean by "bend a rectangle" I would have to suggest Pattern Along Path as well. However, you'd have to also be able to bend a simple path at a precise angle. And I'm just not getting what you mean by "bend". Will this be a sharp bend, like a ...

Re: How do I make a rectangle which bend at a precise angle
Hi. Simplest way must be to use a guide. Double click at the guide and you can place it in a precise angle. Then move it to the middle point where you wish the point (node) being bend around from. Hi Thank you for replying. I consider myself as pretty much a newbie to Inkscape and therefore I'm afr...

How do I make a rectangle which bend at a precise angle ?
Hi
The headline almost says it all:
How do I make a rectangle which bend at a precise angle ?
To be more precise I want the curvature of the rectangle to be for example 30 deg. along its whole length.

Re: The canvas - why does it look in the way it does ?
It's actually quite useful to have a drawable area that extends beyond the page boundary at times. Consider a design which shows a portion of a circle bleeding off at the edge of the page. With Inkscape you can just draw your circle extending beyond the page boundary, knowing that your export will ...

The canvas - why does it look in the way it does ?
Hi First of all I'm still a total noob when it comes to using Inkscape - and every other vector drawing programs found on this planet ! This is might also be why my question may sound (very) stupid... My question is why the canvas looks the way it does ? - ie. when I open Inkscape I see the rectangl...

Re: How do I make arrows that bend ?
You need to convert the stroke to a path. Select your bezier path (the tail of your arrow) and try Ctrl+Alt+C then try your union to combine the shapes. Hi That did the trick ! Now my next problem is how to cut a part of the arrowshat off in order make it another color. A very small rant: I find th...

Re: How do I make arrows that bend ?
Hi Thank you for the warm welcome :D I managed to make an arrow by: The arrow shaft: using the :tool_pen: to make a Benzier Curve and setting the width to 20 under the Stroke Style tab The arrow point: 1. I made a square using the :tool_rectangle: and removed one of nodes :tool_node: by selecting &q...

Hi
First of all I'm almost a total newbie when it comes to using Inkscape, so be gentle...!
I would like to make some arrows which bend to the left or right, but I can't find any tutorials on how to make them.
I have found an image of some arrows I would like to make:
