And with the other two suggestions, the text will get cut off, but tthe size of the text will still reach across the border of the ...

Re: Removing fonts from Inkscape/removing Inkscape

I really appreciate yozr support! Unfortunately, even after running the cleaner, the font is still there :x I am just at a loss as I really need the new version of the font to work with. The only thing I can hope for is for Inkscape to come out wih a new version and that updating would solve the pro...

Re: Removing fonts from Inkscape/removing Inkscape

Hi, no, I used the Windows font manager. And I also tried uninstalling Inkscape through the Uninstall file and choosing NOT to save user configurations, but the font is still there when reinstalling Inkscape. You don't see the correct letter shapes beside the font name, but you can you the font and ...

Re: Removing fonts from Inkscape/removing Inkscape

Yes, I completely uninstalled it, chekced if there was any Inkscape or font-related material on the computer(and there wasn't), and downloaded Inkscape again. And the font is there...even though it is nowhere else on my computer, not in Open Office Word etc...

Re: File size vs http requests

Hi, thanks for the link but this is what I already have done. I have imported the font via @fontface and declared svg, woff, woff2, truetype, opentype. Still you can only see the correct font in images when you have it installed.

Re: File size vs http requests

I have the font embedded to my site with @fontface but still, when used in svg images only people can see it who have the font installed(when used as text in the svg). That's why I had converted the font to a path. Am I missing something??

Re: File size vs http requests

I have 3 of these and would like to combine them to one. Because I use them one a website, I needed to convert the font into a path which of course makes the size much larger.

Re: File size vs http requests

Well I have a lot of images on the site, so all these add up. One page is easily 2 mb with all these images and I know that Page speed services like Pingdom and Google always advise you to decrease http requests which I could do if I used less images...but then they would be larger than all the smal...

Re: File size vs http requests

Hi,
sorry, I don't really understand what you are saying: Are you saying I would be better off using 3 images (together 200kb) instead of one image (300kb) for my website?
I am already using vacum def and saved as plain svg, and also used compression tools.

File size vs http requests

Hi, I am using a lot of svgs on my website but unfortunately the svgs with paths are quite large in size, even when run through a compressor tool. I wanted to combine 3 small images in order to reduce http requests but then I noticed that the combined image is much larger than the three small images...

Re: White space around svg in Chrome/Custom fonts in svg

Hi, no, I am not charged per file size, my hosting is really good, but I am using a lot of images on the site and every kb counts. For example, I also have 6 button like images , and each one of them was 700kb before optimizing, whereas the png version was 7kb each...so I am trying to keep sizes as ...

Re: File size/Website

Hi, I always clean up the document but most of the time it will say there is nothing to clean. If I save as optimized, my font(it is a hand drawn font) will break, same happens when I lessen the decimals in the Inkscape settings. I tried using several svg optimizers/compressors and weirdly enough if...

File size/Website

Hi, so I have a question reagrding the file size. I have an svg image that is 29,1 kb. I opened this image in Inkscape and made it really tiny, like 10px x 10px. I saved it again as a plain svg and the file size was 32.8 kb. How can this happen? Also, I noticed that when I upload an svg to my Wordpr...

Re: White space around svg in Chrome/Custom fonts in svg

Oh, too bad...I tried simplifying the path and this reduced it quite a bit. But whenever I change any settings like reducing the decimal numbers or absolute coordinates, or savings as optimzed svg, it will ruin the image.

Re: White space around svg in Chrome/Custom fonts in svg

Hey, well the text that you could not see was actually text I had deleted in order to upload the image. I thought that once you delete elements, they are completely deeted! Is this not true? On my site of course I need to have the text on, this is why I had added it onto your image again. I also con...

Re: White space around svg in Chrome/Custom fonts in svg

Thanks to both of you! Just wondering though: The new button is over 200kb, even when I compress it through an svg compressor. The old one was under 10kb...is there a way to make the file smaller since I need to use it on the internet?
