Re: Transforming a text-object to look 'folded'

Lazur - I think you are right about the "parallel" stuff ... I'll try your example and see if I can make the effect stronger using larger text

Re: Transforming a text-object to look 'folded'

Thanks again, I realize that writing a full-blown manual is bit too much. I know have the inspiration I need, and I'll be fiddling with it sometime tomorrow. Actually I'm contemplating a bit of a cheat - If I copy the textobject and paste it into the GIMP - it'll become a bitmap. Gimps perspective t...

Re: Transforming a text-object to look 'folded'

I am totally lost here - Dunno what to do or how. Lazur - what you did is exactly what I want to do, only I think that the perspective hasn't been applied enough. The straight lines in the letters are not parallel with the edges of the paper. You guys are so good that you are doing things I don't qu...

Re: Transforming a text-object to look 'folded'

Thanks a lot. The font itself is of no importance. Actually the square is a regular square object while the "folded paper" is a polygon-object - so there is no transformation of the "paper". I understand that the trick must be with converting to path and I'll have a look at tyler...

Transforming a text-object to look 'folded'

Hi, I'd like to achieve an effect of a piece of paper w. text on that has been folded twice and then unfolded again. It's difficult to explain in words - so I made this 'demo' of what I'm trying to do. Also I'm attaching the SVG-file, in case anyone would like to experiment ... (the objects are heav...

Re: cutting a group of objects in halfs?

"Duplicate your group object, as you will first cut away half of the original and then cut away the opposing half of the duplicate to create your cut in half grouped object. For each one draw a white filled (no stroke) rectangle and position accordingly to cover up the bit you cut away, select ...

cutting a group of objects in halfs?[SOLVED]

Hi, I've tried searching the net, but I may not know the right words to use. I've found some answers, but none that seemed to help me. I have a a group of objects (a rectangle with a text-label on it). I'd like to cut it just like you'd use a pair of scissors to cut a piece of paper with writing on ...

Anchoring objects to other objects?

Hi, I'm doing a big template for the grafix needed in my smartphone development. To help find stuff in the template, I use rectangles with no fill, only stroke, to make big 'frames' where I group objects logically. Ie. 'icons', 'iPhone', 'Android' etc ... The 'frames' are grouped with textobject nex...

Cutting off 'spokes' at a certain radius

Hi! I am designing a wrist-watch. The watch is to have a certain scale on it ace_watch2.png As you can see I've done the spokes, now I want to cut them off at the red arc Problem is I can't figure out how to do it - I've tried overlaying a circle object with the desired radius and using MENU->Object...
