Re: Import PDF Text - Strange Changes When Editted

That puzzles me though, if I do NOT have the exact font how or what does the import routine \ Inkscape use to create the image \ data? I do NOT edit the text and the export utility is also able to replicate the original text (...

Import PDF Text - Strange Changes When Editted
Windows 10 Inkscape 0.92.4 (5da689c313, 2019-01-14) I'm importing PDF vector artwork, the text seems to import exactly the way it is shown in the original document. However; when I edit a string of that text everything related to the formatting of that string of text changes drastically (font, spaci...

Text on a Path
Version 0.92 - (If I recall correctly, the same thing happened in the previous version) Windows 10 When I copy or duplicate a group that has text on a path in it and ungroup the duplicate or copy the text on a path looses or moves from its reference point that it was originally associated with or to...

Re: Default Import Insertion Location
theozh Thanks for the testing. Position 3 may be caused by me leaving the window at different (memory) load times or using alt tab or picking another open program from the task bar. I do not always transition from one program to the other the same way. If I can predict, know, or set the insertion po...

Default Import Insertion Location
I have recently been inserting quite a few files (pdf mainly) into Inkscape and was wondering if anyone knew the Default Import Insertion Location or if there is a preference that can be set? My observations have been: 1. Maybe the Location where the mouse pointer is once the file is completely load...

Thank you, I must have accidentally switched that setting. I do however need to do some studying with that feature as I have never intentionally used it or even knew it existed.

Black Filled Text Appears Transparent over Clipped Object
Inkscape 0.92
Windows 10
Black Filled Text Appears Transparent over Clipped Object, I can change the fill color to anything but 100% black and it will appear on top.
Anyone have any clue what I am doing wrong or what is going on?
Screen shoot attached for reference.
