@Lazur, I'm not familiar with those things yet. I'm a total newb.
@ragstian, thanks, after playing with it, that's exactly what I discovered. What I did was make two identical paths along the thin parts, then slightly pull the ends apart so the result look like the line forks into two lines.

[SOLVED] How do I trace a design where the line splits?
I have this drawing: http://50.116.4.56/~/img/ksbsacroblo.png You can see that parts of the letters are thick and then become thin, as if the pen outline merges into a single line. How would you achieve this effect in Inkscape, considering that you can't split/fork paths? :tool_pen:

Re: Why not just make this the "official" inkscape forum?
Maybe not! http://drupal.org/project/phpbb2drupal If the main site runs on drupal, then yeah, that'd be a good idea to migrate to drupal. If Drupal is already installed on inkscape.org, that means PHP and MySQL and everything are already installed. Moving phpBB to inkscape.org would simple involve c...

Re: I modify a path, but the line doesn't change. Help!
Aha! indeed i had it in spiro mode. I could not figure out how to fix it for the life of me so unfortunately for my first vector project i had to use illustrator. Illustrator took my vector virginity. :(... But I'm willing to give inkscape a second chance now that i've overcome this little bumb in t...

Re: Why not just make this the "official" inkscape forum?
Hehe yeah, it did bug me a little. As a newcomer to the community, it seems to me these forums are official (or should be). Thanks for the welcome. :) Migrating the forum to inkscape.org shouldn't be a big undertaking. I've migrated LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL PHP, etc) setups various times in less tha...

Why not just make this the "official" inkscape forum?
I mean, if inkscape.org links directly to inkscapeforum.com as their forums, why not just make it "official" instead of "unofficial"?

Um, hello, what is cutters?
Googling for "cutters", "cutters inkscape", "cutters vectors". "apple cutters", "cutters art" or anything like that leads to nothing. What in the world is cutters?

[SOLVED] I modify a path, but the line doesn't change. Help!
How in the world do I get the line to follow the path? If I move a node, the line's nodes move as well, but if i modify the curvature using the little round bulbs sticking out of the nodes, the line doesn't get modified. How do you make the line follow the path whenever you modify the path?
