Sorry for necroposting but I understand this is yet not implemented? I'm using trunk and can't find any option to linking instead of embedding an external SVG.

I was really happy to see Inkscape importing PDF files, but a closer inspection at the import quality has left me really disappointed. I'm uploading two pictures. I can save as ODG but I only get some graphic elements saved and no text at all.

I'm pretty new to Inkscape.

I just found it. I had to click on "Select all objects or all nodes" first.

PDF import is very nice, but after importing I have a single entity that I can't seem to separate into its parts. Ungrouping won't do anything.

Is there any way I can separate the different elements of an imported PDF?
