Solution: I just restarted Windows.

So, no need to re-install Inkscape.

Sorry, I just noticed brynn's response to my initial post. No to large file, no multi screens, no recent orientation changes I am aware of, nothing. Just opend 0.92, clicked :tool_rectangle: , drew a rectangle - and from there on only menus responded to mouse / mousepad buttons. I think double click...

Update 2:
Everything seems back to normal !!
After uninstalling v0.92 I restarted Windows 10 and re-installed v0.92
in setup I chose the option to discard previous settings (or something similar).

Udate: the problem does not exist in version 0.91 (portable).
I uninstalled v 0.92 before that.

well, it's Feb 2017 already, and I am having the very same problem as mhpembe described some 10 months ago. (and excuse me for not cut&pasting his original descriptions, because mine would be the very exact same, as in "absolutely identical" to his). With an up to date Inkscape and Win...
