Re: .ai problem
I have successfully opened an .ai file by right clicking the .ai file - Properties - Open with - Inkscape.
Depending on the Illustrator version this might work.

Re: Technicbold font
I have downloaded the free Euro Technic Bold font here http://www.fontpalace.com/font-download ... hnic+Bold/ but I don't know if that is the right one. Maybe you'll provide us the source for the download of this font?

Re: Image Perfect in MS Word, Pixelated in PDF. Why?
I have tried to create something with the measures in cm's that were mentioned above and it pixelated both in Open Office and in the PDF reader. Then I blew up the image size in Inkscape ( 5 times as large ) - saved as PNG 300 Dpi - scaled the picture down in Open Office ( no pixelation ) and export...

Will an 'Object to path' after applying the filter not solve the problem?

If the text was converted to path it would not matter that I don't have the font that's been used.

I tried this and it worked out fine: 1) I deleted Trajan Pro in the Windows/Font folder 2) I copied the font from the Common Files/Adope/Fonts to my desktop 3) I installed the font to Windows/Fonts from the desktop 4) I rebooted my PC 5) I launched Inkscape WOO HOO! :D Thank you! :) I hope this will...

Did you select the bitmap before trying to trace it?

Re: the share/fonts folder
Ok, from the right click drop down menu I could open the font in a new window and get access to the location information "...common files\adobe\fonts.."
Could that be the reason why it doesn't show up in Inkscape and is there a way to solve this?

Re: the share/fonts folder
Thank you, Tylerdurden When I install a font I save the zip-folder on my desktop, extract the font from there and install to Windows/Fonts. Trajan Pro works in Open Office, Adope Photoshop and Notepad, but not in Inkscape. I'm running Windows 8.1 I'll try to find what you are talking about: File>Pro...

Re: the share/fonts folder
Hi, Tylderdurden - The font doesn't have the properties option when I right click on it on it's location in Windows/Fonts.
I tried to copy it to the desktop and by doing so I have the properties option but they are much simpler than what you show above.
I'll take a look at it again.
