I run Windows 7 64 bit and I keep getting runtime errors, like every 2-3 minutes or so...
Is it because I have 64 bit?

How to change fill pattern color?
I can fill a rectangle with a pattern, checkered , but it's only in black and white.
How can I change it to red and any color I want?
In photoshop I used hue and saturation for this.
Thanks

Re: Why this file is so slow to work with? It's only 4 megs?
Because that vector image needs to pluggin into another vector file, the label file, need to merge it into one, then paste in the lable. I need that image and a lot of others to be pasted into the file I'm attaching. Not sure if I traced it or not...I used a filter from JPEG and traced a Bitmap... W...

Re: Why this file is so slow to work with? It's only 4 megs?
Hi Full sails, I'm totally satisfied with the image just the way it is, no need to modifiy anything, just to make it lighter, get rid of all the effects, layers, nodes whatever! Problem is I need this vector image workable in 2 hours! ;( So not much time to look at tutorials for now.... If you have ...

Re: Why this file is so slow to work with? It's only 4 megs?
Thanks everybody,
I don't need any nodes or layers, just that simple image as a vector that I can stretch, how can I like "merge" all layers into a single node?
Or how can I "flatten image" as a single layer vector?
Sorry,very new at this!
Cheers!

I created this file from an image to SVG and it's impossibly slow to work with, tried on an XP desktop and also a Windows 7 brand new laptop with 6 Gigs or ram, but uneditable...is the file corrupt?
Can't attach so here it is:

Hi Drupan,
Thanks! Works perfect, do you think people would be interested if I wrote a script to do that? No need for any addon, just a one click application?

I did a search on the forum but haven't fond anything...
Is there a way to do that? Like fetch a bitmap from Wikipedia and turn it into a stretchable vector?
Looked on the Wiki also but too many options...

Hi Suv, Yes exactly 100% works! Open source kicks ass! I can't imagine getting perfect answer that fast with AI! Onto making my labels for my new "Pickles" business in Thailand, I need to translate all that in Thai, I can't imagine the pain it would have been one character at a time, thank...

How to edit the text on this file?
Hi there,
I can select the text, and sometimes it works and sometimes doesn't...
In some cases I can add or delete text and in some other the text just repeats on itself...difficult to explain.
If nobody understands I'll need to record a movie to show what I mean...
Thanks,

Re: Using gaming mouse to design?
I'v now switched from a Microsoft mouse that is the most comfortable but with 1000 DPI to a gaming mouse that is 2400 dpi.
The gaming mouse works faster but annoying to hold...
Would the track ball be a compromise?
Or a "normal" design mouse with high DPi?

Are there typesetting tutorials for professional printing?
I'm switching to Inkscape because of the lack of compatibility between IA versions. I always have a different one than the printing shop and it's a pain... Do you mean like the hughe logitechs with the red ball on top?

I think I have it figured out, I just need to create layers, so I can put the basket behind the eggs? I need to experiment more with it, just very new at it.

View layers not working or maybe the file is corrupt?
I'm new to Inkscape but have been using Adobe and so on for years, sick of too many versions and incompability with printers... So switching to Inkscape portable, so I can take the whole thing there! But learning however, I do shift+ctrl+l But although the layers panel shows up, I can see the layers...
