I tried switching to a different icon theme and it worked! Never thought icon themes can affect some applications

Sorry, should've post a screenie http://i46.tinypic.com/2vuy4vo.png here's my inkscape with default view.. and nope...all bars are were visible and active after installing it. the command bar just got drag and floated somewhere at the edge of my screen when I was exploring inkscape

I'm running Inkscape 0.48.3.1 on Xubuntu 12.04.
My view is set to default and I'm pretty sure my screen's normal : |
I tried hiding and un-hiding the control bar and it worked. Though after relaunching Inkscape, it became jumbo again.: /

Good day, just would like to ask how can I adjust the size of that huge toolbox ( not sure what it's called ) at the top below the menus?
