Here you go. I'm using the normal alignment tools, nothing special. The problem is that it doesn't preserve the kerning area.

Hello, Moini. Thanks for the response. This is funny. Despite the fact that I've used the Align and Distribute dialog a lot, I've never noticed that. Or maybe I didn't pay much attention to it.
