Re: Batch processing svg to eps/pdf/png
@brynn: Ah cool, thanks for the suggestion, just uploaded it there as well. I wasn't sure about the category as well... I put it in extension as of now, but I wouldn't say it is a great fit :P @russian: Are you talking about pdfs or pngs/eps? If it is about pdfs I would suggest using the tool pdf sa...

Re: Batch processing svg to eps/pdf/png
Hello again, Long time no see. I needed the functionality again and did a bit of rewriting in order to run flawless on windows. Here is the project: https://gist.github.com/JohannesDeml/779b29128cdd7f216ab5000466404f11 Just download this file: https://gist.githubusercontent.com/JohannesDeml/779b2912...

Re: A Donut Illustration
Yeah, pretty cool. Would work well for an app icon from the shape of the donut. I would argue that the sprinkles are a bit small. I think fewer of them with a bit more detail and love would help the illustration.

Re: Dillerkind's image pool
Hey Dillerkind, Wow, you're doing a lot of stuff! Here are a few of my thoughts: Bonnie: I somehow don't really like the Bonnie Rockwaller image. I think it is the coloring of the image, I think those dark colors don't work that well. Maybe it's because of the pretty bright and saturated red outline...

Re: Dillerkind's image pool
Oh the background turned out great again! I can only agree with Maestral on the swirly bands, they are really cool. What I don't like that much: - I can't really tell her emotion, as well as what gesture she is doing with her hand. Is it a peace/victory sign? Then I think the thumb should touch the ...

Wow, those are really great, I love the first two graphics you posted on the 23rd on January. I really like the idea of your work. It turns something highly destructive into very creative work. Nice to see, that you found a use it those spam-posts. I really like the graphics too, they all have some ...

Re: Op-art-ish and such
Hey there, I'm now following your thread for quite some while, and I still have no idea, how you use inkscape, but I'm extremely impressed, by what you upload. Especially the last uploads just look amazing! I love the used colors, I don't know if you always were that good with colors, because the la...

Re: Casual Game - need feedback
Hi there! My thoughts of the screenshot: - I like the background, it has a nice playful look! - I also agree with brynn, the eggs could look better. I was able to see them as eggs, and also saw the legs, but when the graphic is smaller, they just have black dots and do look like a bit like soccer-ba...

Re: Dillerkind's image pool
I like her face, especially the eyes have a cool effect. Even though there is a lot of detail at her ear (the fur paths), I don't really like it that much right now. For once it is superhuge and feels not too attached to the head (I think her head would feel more realistic without the ear) and secon...

Re: obama and merkel
Haha I like them, I think the first version is the best one. I agree with brynn, Obamas skin color is not so dark. Also Merkel has blonde hair, if I'm not mistaken?! The front perspective of the two, especially the one of Merkel look really funny. Maybe you could tweak the body of Obama a bit (for e...

Thanks for the comments!
@Dillerkind: I was amazed too, how much was possible. It actually took me quite some time to think about scaling the bird to use it for a long hair look like to left one in the middle row.

Hey everybody,
I played around a bit with the twitter logo, and found that it works perfectly well as a hair style shape:

Wow, that is really interesting! Thanks for this small insight in your life! With this knowledge I look at your pictures in a totally different way... and I'm really impressed. The colors have sometimes a very high saturation in your images, but all in all, the color compositions look rather good!

Re: Dawn
The sun light effect in the second picture looks really good, but I'm not sure which one I like more. The first one is for sure simpler and not too realistic, the second one tries to be more realistic, but I don't like the shading of the planet that much anymore, I like that the planet vanishes to b...

Hahaha, you got me. I was immediatly heading to your blog, really dirty! I'm totally not sure, what she is wearing there on her head, but it looks kind a cool. I think that a different hair color would help, you lost a lot of detail there, because everything is so dark (At least with my display). Ev...

Hey Talsi, Thanks for your reply, I knew the technique/setting, but I thought it looked too good and dynamic. :) Also thanks for your comment Maestral, I actually have everything activated and still have problems to use the tablet pressure. Hm, whatever, if I need it, I will open up a different thre...

You seem to have a nice taste of games and movies
I like the last two ones, they have a neat quality. I suppose you work with a graphic tablet?! I never really managed to use pen pressure with Inkscape. Is there a way, or how did you do the lines in the hand picture?

I tried to get it also working for windows, sadly I don't know how to use the inkscape command. Maybe somebody has an idea, everything else should work. Here is the code: @Echo off set /a count=0 set validInput1=svg set validInput2=pdf set validInput3=eps set validOutput1=eps set validOutput2=pdf se...

Hm, that is really strange. I've got no more ideas, but to fight through the registry. If you want I could help you with that via skype or TeamViewer
Or somebody else has any ideas, where the problem comes from

Re: Jellyfish Dessert
Ok so, i've got a few ideas for your issue: First, you save every frame of the gif on its own. In Gimp there is a functionality to optimize the gif, so that every new layer just saves the difference. See the screenshot on where you can find the function: http://i.imgur.com/qFD2WrE.png I tried it, an...

Re: IE9 snagged my svg files
Hey there! Two ideas how to solve the problem: 1. When you click on open with, did you check the box "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file"? (lower Left corner) http://www.question-defense.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/windows-7-file-association-open-with.gif 2. You c...

Re: Conversion for CorelDraw for Laser Pro
I'm having the same setup in the fab lab I use (I use inkscape, they have Corel draw) and what works perfect for me, is to just convert the svg file to an eps file, and then impot it with corel draw. I guess that's the fastest and most sophisticated way

Hey Ragstian! Thanks for your reply! I'll try to create a bat file as well, there are probably more windows users than linux/mac users in this forum. Oh yeah, thanks for the hint! Batch processing svg to eps/pdf/png
Hello there! I made a small shell script, to convert all files in a directory with the extensions svg, eps, pdf to the file types pdf, eps, png . Linux + Inkscape necessary 1. put the script in the same folder where the files are 2. open up a terminal (Strg + Shift + T) 3. cd to the same directory w...

Oh I had this tab open for such a long time, to remind me, that I should post a reply, but I forgot because of all those other open tabs ^^ I don't know, but there is something strange about that face. It's either the scar (I think it is a scar, right under her eye) or it's the wrinkles created from...
