Distribution of Objects inc. Group
I am trying to distribute 2 objects, one of them is a group of words and vectors, the other an imported png. If I un-group the vectors and words, the distribute tools work fine, but as long as everything is grouped, they won't distribute the group and the photo relative to the page. What am I missing?

Re: Auto save when InkScape Crash?
I have used this program, a couple dozen times. Today, it crashed, in the middle of a project I had been working on, for 2 days. I assumed it was auto-saving, so I didn't think anything of it. Unfortunately, it wasn't backing anything up and I lost the project. Last time I will ever use this program.

Inkcut Cuts Blue Lines
On the preview, the red lines are where the cutter is supposed to cut and the blue lines are where it is moving. Inkcut cuts both the red and blue lines, when I try to cut a large document. Any ideas as to why?

Re: USCutter MH-721
Ok, So scrap the entire idea of setting this up as a printer... Here is what I did.... /dev/ttyUSB0 is owned by root, so as root, you have to go into /dev and run: chmod o+rw ttyUSB0 After that, when you run ls | grep USB, in the /dev directory, you should see: crw-rw-rw- 1 root dialout 188, 0 Dec 5...

Re: mh-721 MK-II and PL2303 Serial Port
I figured out that I had to set permissions on /dev/ttyUSB0 to allow an unprivelaged user to access the device. Otherwise I'd have to run Inkscape as root. chmod o+rw /dev/ttyUSB0 After that, it seems to be able to at least access the cutter. I'll let you know if it doesn't cut correctly. To be cont...

mh-721 MK-II and PL2303 Serial Port
I have a US Cutter mh-721 MK-II and I recently bought a Prolific Technology, Inc. PL2303 Serial Port. Supposedly, I am supposed to be able to attach the cutter to the serial port, using the serial/usb adapter. I am also under the impression the serial adapter is supposed to show up as a printer, in ...

Re: USCutter MH-721
I bought a USB to serial adapter, plugged it in and Ubuntu detects it: lsusb: Bus 001 Device 018: ID 067b:2303 Prolific Technology, Inc. PL2303 Serial Port dmesg | tail [565621.562179] pl2303 1-4.3:1.0: pl2303 converter detected [565621.563701] usb 1-4.3: pl2303 converter now attached to ttyUSB0 But...

USCutter MH-721
I just bought a USCutter mh-721 MK-II. I exclusively run Ubuntu on all my computers. No Micro$oft for me, thanks. When I plug the cutter in, through USB, it does pick it up, partially. It shows the MFG information, but nothing else. No description, other than the hex ID numbers, (via lsusb). I was w...
