Yeah I dont think its possible to attach key stroke to it, I would love also change node to auto smooth node with key stroke which is what I seem to constantly need.
Also with the Pen tool, I didnt realise that, thanks. I should have noticed it lol!

You have to set the document properties Alpha channel to be transparent.
