Re: My latest frame by frame animation using Inkscape/Blende

Thank you for watching ha1flosse. I'm aware of blenders shapekey animator and video sequence editor. I was just show that frame by frame animation was possible in blender, albeit very time expensive at the moment. To save some time, I did use shapekeys for one of the hands during the animation. The ...

Re: My latest frame by frame animation using Inkscape/Blende

Thanks for the critique. I made the background scenery on raster image software and stayed up past 3 a.m. doing it, so grammar checking was the last thing on my mind. Still this is no excuse. Thanks for pointing that out. Btw, "Six Shot Sam's Saloon" was intended.

My latest frame by frame animation using Inkscape/Blender

Hello everyone. I finally had time to make another test animation despite my many distractions. Here it is, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJ-FGnr8NoI . I was in a hurry to make it so the animation may seem a tad crude. It was created with Inkscape, GIMP Paint Studio, Blender and Windows Movie Maker...

Re: Frame by Frame Animation In Inkscape

I forgot to mention it, but I used Blender for the layers of constant rain fall and to compile all of the frames into a single video. This is were I had a little trouble, but I learned more about Blender though. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. :D

Frame by Frame Animation In Inkscape

Hello everyone. I have finally finished my first frame by frame animation created mainly in Inkscape. Here is a link to it if you want to check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZproGLkhQMs It is very simple and mediocre, but this is because I put little effort in my endeavor. I made it using I...

Re: Inkscape for animation

THANK YOU. :D Jelle, thanks for kinda clearing things up for me. It appears that SMIL animation has the potential to be very powerful. So why was it so hard for me to come across it? Had I known it existed a month or two ago, I probably would have grown accustomed to it by now. I will start learning...

Re: Inkscape for animation

Another question. If I do animate an SVG image, can it be exported as a common video file?

Re: Inkscape for animation

I just read a little about SMIL. It looks pretty neat. Is it comparable to flash and is it as versatile. As for frame by frame animation, since gimp only saves Gifs, I might as well upload each frame into Blenders video sequencer. It's not that efficient, but it should get the job done.

Re: Inkscape for animation

Thanks for the reply! :D

I checked out Synfig once, but I didn't really understand it.

Gimp however, looks pretty promising. I will definitely try it out later.

Inkscape for animation

Hello everyone. I am new to Inkscape and only had a couple of months to learn it. I have to say, I love this program! I found it whilst I was looking for a free Illustrator alternative and was surprised to discover such a high quality application. I can combine it seamlessly with blender now that I ...
