I'm not entirely sure I understand what you want. Can you show us an example? In general, if you want certain parts of a drawing to move together, you have to select the nodes involved, all together. Snapping does not mean holding. What you describe is perfectly normal behavior in Inkscape. Snapping does not create any link whatsoever between two objects, or an object and a guide. Let's say it just makes your mouse cursor "jump" :), that's all. Thank you for your answer. Would you min...
