Re: Node tool: duplicate nodes
Hmmm. Thanks for trying this out for me. Maybe it's a version thing - it doesn't seem to be working the same way as in your post. I tried creating the same, 4 node object and selecting the bottom two nodes. Shift-D doesn't seem to do anything and Ctrl-D duplicates the entire object, not just the nod...

Node tool: duplicate nodes
Hi, I'm trying to learn Inkscape (again - each time I get a little further) and I've been reading ( http://www.inkscape.org/doc/keys047.html ) that the node tool can duplicate nodes with Shift-D. I think this would be really useful for selecting two nodes and extruding a "leg" out from an ...

Re: Girl
I'd say most were done with the pencil ... though I started using the bezier tool for the later shapes. I think if I was starting from scratch I would have used this more but often I can't make it draw the shape I want to make. I used the caligraphic tool for the sharp lines and hair.

Trying to get to grips with inkscape, using dev version, but not really using any dev features (or at least I don't think so ). It seems a bit more friendly than it did on my previous attempts.

Re: Your first Inkscape drawing
I think this is my second - I deleted the first. I tried inkscape for a while some time ago, but couldn't get to grips with it. I am determined to bend it to my will this time round though

Re: New GTK version fixes support for Wacom Bamboo
Thanks microUgly - that's exactly it. Now my pen works and with pressure sensitivity, in the dev build, I can switch between tools just by flipping the stylus from pen to eraser. I'm dead chuffed (that's good) :) Sorry I didn't find that thread, which described my problem exactly. I think I'd been s...

Re: New GTK version fixes support for Wacom Bamboo
Should Bamboo tablets be working with the development version? It doesn't seem to for me (I am using inkscape 0.46+devel r21066, built Apr 6 2009). I can't seem to draw anything with any of the tools, but I can select the menus ok with the tablet. Mouse works just fine, I don't see any error message...
