Re: Silhouette for Bridging pieces Plasma
Basically if you have watched the video Posted and looked at my files I am trying to take the offset and make it larger. I wasn't completely sure how to go about that other than the way I was already doing it. So what I am trying to do is make a sign for an LED lit background. In plasma cutting you ...

I currently make my design by creating a box and then using the offset function for my drawing then exclude so I can cut out the border. Then I am taking a duplicate image of my drawing and setting it inside the offset ...

Re: Making a template for Plasma cutting??
This is the video around the 7:19 mark is what I am talking about if I have multiple items on the screen when I save they all end up in my "sheetcam" for cutting not just the individual. Does it have to do with converting the files as I work on them to path? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Making a template for Plasma cutting??
Hey guys, now I know you are probably thinking changing template's as the default settings in Inkscape, but that's not what I am after. Lets say I come up with a design but I want to be able to save the basic design and every time I want to add something such as a new name or shape to the basic &quo...

Re: Text for Monogram
I think the appropriate name would be along the lines of Inkscape Metal art. Though it could also work with plotters for vinyl decals they do from what I see differ some in the ways the paths are used for cutting, but I may be wrong!? Before I was using or attempting to use Bobcad A great program fo...

Re: Text for Monogram
Worked like a charm! Thanks for the help it always seams to be the easiest little things on this program. I've only really been using it for a month so far and increased my cutting of custom signs and artwork ten fold.

Re: Text for Monogram
Man I never thought about the Stroke to path.....But then again I haven't used it yet today will be the day then! That makes sense though cause when I did the Union all the text which was a path already took on the characteristics of the "stroke" which I had set to .25" as a starting ...

Text for Monogram
Hey guys, First post here! I'm having an issue with making a Monogram. I can put the text on the circle adjust it all around to where I want it but I am having an issue with joining the circle outline to the text. If I do a union the text becomes the stroke fill thickness, basically everything gets ...
