Re: Inkscape .47 crashes when trying to print
I have reported the printing problem on Launchpad but I noted what some of the other users said on this forum and was curious. I really love Inkscape. It is a very nifty program and does what I need in a vector program. But I noticed that printing went from dicey to not at all. I know that this is n...

Re: More Devils More Labels left margin
Please don't think I am ignoring you. I have an overriding consideration to take care of (have to reinstall XP on a corrupted computer). Who knows, maybe there is corruption afoot as part of my problem. I will do a set of labels as soon as I am able and make very very very sure that all the labels a...

More Devils More Labels left margin
I still can't seem to get Inkscape to make Avery 5160 labels with any consistency and I would appreciate any light you can shed on this problem. After a great deal of experimentation, I have found out that owing to either my printer (Canon MP830) or some quirk in Inkscape, I have to position my labe...

Re: Editing Tiled Clones
The self help desk struck again. Of course, as soon as I ask the question I figure out the answer. BUT, it's not as obvious as you might think. Here is what I learned: 1) Make up the label. Put everything where you want it but do not group before you save it . If you group it before you save it, the...

Editing Tiled Clones
I need to edit a sheet of tiled clones but I am not getting the trick to it. I made a label and selected all and grouped it so the elements would stay together. I named it label.svg. Then I opened up a blank sheet and put my guides where I wanted the labels and opened label.svg and pasted it in posi...

Re: Avery 5160 Labels and Inkscape
Looks like I got it fixed thanks to your help. First, I made double sure that the new document was in inches and was not the default of A4 size, as I am in the US. I think the key was your telling me to use guides. I was trying to move over the left hand label using the Create Tiled Clones function ...

Avery 5160 Labels and Inkscape
I need to make labels on Avery 5160 stock, those are standard address labels, one design repeated 30 times. How can I do this in Inkscape? I have consistently gotten them to print out but they won't line up correctly. I need a 3/16" (.1875") margin on the left side and the columns are prin...
