Re: RUNTIME ERROR
Hello Moini, The operating system is Windows 10. I am using version 0.92.2-x64, to upgrage, and which I downloaded using the 64-bit option. Other than this, I don't know which file I used, I just followed instructions. I did not experience this problem with the older version. I cannot remember exact...

RUNTIME ERROR
What is the cause of the 'runtime error' and subsequent shutdown of Inkscape? See attached screenprint of the error message.

CANNOT SAVE AS A DXF FILE
I recently downloaded Inkscape version 0.92.2-x64. I however cannot save a svg file as a dxf and get the message in the attached document. I will be very grateful if someone can tell me what to do to solve this problem.
Thank you.

Thank you very much tylerdurden, this is very useful and quick, and it works, even if you regard it as "fast and dirty" !

Drawing irregular shapes having parallel sides
When plasma-cutting non-geometric shapes (as in metal art), it is often necessary to draw worm-like, irregularly-curved shapes having parallel sides. See the attached illustration as an example. The only way I know how to create such as shape is to draw the basic shape with a single line, then to co...

Re: REMOVING PARTS OF A VECTOR DIAGRAM
Thank you very much brynn, much appreciated. Your way is more familiar to me - what I've been trying to do, except that I have now realised that I was using the "Break apart" function incorrectly. But I guess that theozh's method may be more appropriate under slightly different circumstanc...

Re: REMOVING PARTS OF A VECTOR DIAGRAM
Hi theozh, Thank you very much for your guidance, it is greatly appreciated. Quickly reading through the processes, it is very clear to me that these are very different steps to what I've been trying and I am consequently confident that I will be successful. And I guess that I can follow the same pr...

REMOVING PARTS OF A VECTOR DIAGRAM
Attached is a vector diagram of a tree which I am trying to simplify by removing some of the branches. It originates as a photograph and cut out in GIMP and exported as an SVG file. I am having partial success by applying "Break path at selected nodes", "Join selected nodes" and ...
