Re: Getting text around this helmet
Import the PNG and open a new layer. On the new layer draw the path you want with the Bezier tool. Type in the text and put it on the path, then move the path with the text on it using the Node Editing tool until it looks right. Finally make the opacity of the path zero. Job Done.

Hello, How are you ? Quite good, considering that I have deleted 184 topics made by spammers since the refresh 24 days ago. It sounds as though you got off quite lightly. On another forum, which I moderate, I deleted 193 threads in one day along with lots of spammers as well as banning many of thei...

Yes, it is. And it's dangerous that you clicked on the link, brynn. Be careful! How would anyone know where a link they click is going to take them, ahead of time? There was no clue there. It was a normal-looking URL. (fashiontrendsDOTcom, or something like that) . . Brynn, Don't you see a pop-up w...

I'm a newcomer to Inkscape and the best tutorials I have found so far are the articles in Full Circle Magazine. Tutorials 1 - 25 are collected into three separate pdf files, but you have to download the rest individually.

Re: Getting XY coordinates of the segments of a rule
The SVG format is for web-based graphics, so the origin is in the top-left corner, whereas Libre Office Calc has its origin in the bottom-left corner. That's why your graphs appear to be upside-down.

As a quick fix, you could try importing your PNG into something like Irfanview or Gimp and saving from there with a transparent background.

Re: Removing fonts from Inkscape/removing Inkscape
I think you may have a Windows registry problem. Try the following (in this order: 1. Uninstall Inkscape. 2. Run Ccleaner (free download here ) to remove all the broken registry entries. 3. Install your new fonts. 4. Finally re-install Inkscape. If that doesn't fix it then I'm also stumped as to wha...

Re: Removing fonts from Inkscape/removing Inkscape
Hi, I am using Windows 10, Inkscape 0.91 I uninstalled the fonts by going into all the fonts in my computer and deleting it. Did you use the Windows Font manager or just delete the font files? If you did the latter, then it's possible the registry has some errors and Inkscape thinks the fonts are s...

Re: Export node coordinates as text?
It shouldn't be too difficult to create a tool in php or python (or even JavaScript) to extract the required data from an svg file, but I doubt it's possible directly from Inkscape. As it's a very rare requirement I doubt that there will be the effort available amongst the Inkscape developers.

OK. As it's Windows first thing to try is restarting Inkscape. If that fails restart Windows which usually fixes these things.
