Gradiant to follow inside path?
I'm trying to get a gradient to follow the inside contour of an object. I can do the trick in Gimp, but I can't seem to get it to work in Inkscape. I attached an example of what I'm trying to accomplish. In Gimp: https://i.imgur.com/LBkcp6h.png In Inkscape https://i.imgur.com/NNxDn4o.png The gradien...

Can Inksape deal with more than 10,000 objects?
I'm running into another issue again... First it was arrowheads causing my system to slow and then the GC to crash. That was solved by... getting rid of the arrowheads. Not a great solution, but I guess a work around... Now inkscape is acting sluggish again when I paste new objects. I was planning t...

I don't see how a tiny three-vertex object can cause inkscape to crash after a whi...

Arrowheads are eating my CPU
Now I have a pretty beefy mid range system. (Win10, i7-6700 @ 3.4 Ghz w/16GB Ram) but arrowheads seem to make my computer crawl. I'm re-drafting some aircraft carrier bluepints, and I need to delineate the spaces in the holds with little arrows that point to the center of the tank. It's all good, bu...

Redrafting aircraft carrier blueprints
Long story short, the Navy declassified the blueprints for the aircraft carrier I used to work on. The scans come from the original 1953 drafts that were hand drawn on 73x12 inch sheets at 1:192 scale (1/16th in = 1 foot) The scans are in a bad way though. The original jpegs are suffering from a sem...
