Animated GIF of Wilbur (GIMP mascot)
It may not playback at the right speed the first time, so let it cycle through once. http://www.petaimg.com/u403/948The%20Death%20of%20Wilbur%20(web%20friendly).gif Haha, before you start yelling at me and listing out all the great advantages of open-source software compared to their proprietary cou...

Re: iPhone 3G
Minor update and message: http://www.petaimg.com/u438/546iPhone%20Progress%204.png I just took a look at the new home screen for the iPhone 3G S last night, and I noticed some minor changes they put into some of the app logos, and they have two new ones for Voice Memos and a Compass. I've decided to...

Re: iPhone 3G
Finally did enough to make an update! http://www.petaimg.com/u93/679iPhone%20Progress%203.png Down to my final 3 icons now, and I've separately started making some icons for iPod Touch specific apps. Added a chrome border, albeit a rather crude one. Fixed the gradients for Text, Phone, and iPod. I'm...

Re: Map
I really like this piece
I downloaded the map for Google Earth and I was pleasantly surprised to notice that you named that one island Lincoln Island. Jules Verne fan? Or simply chose the name because of Abe?

Re: iPhone 3G
Hey guys, here's another update: http://www.petaimg.com/u88/524iPhone%20Progress%202.png Since my last post, I've added the Weather app and (most of) the Maps app, lightened up the iPod app, added a shadow to Mail, added more glare to the reflections on everything, and slightly adjusted the text loc...

Re: Inkscape Runs Slow on the Mac
I was finally able to resolve my issue with this particular item I was making. Turns out all the little paths I had in it were all at 100% blur, but for some reason they didn't really show it :/ anyway, this is what was slowing it all down. I unblured them all and simply changed their opacity instea...

Update
This is my progress so far: http://www.petaimg.com/u88/987iPhone%20Progress.png My changes so far have been adding the Youtube and Stocks icons and sharpening the corners on all the icons (I realized that they were too rounded while making Youtube). Doesn't seem like much, but the Stocks app is very...

Re: Inkscape Runs Slow on the Mac
It's slow on all operating systems when you are zoomed in. How slow do you mean? When I say slow, I mean nearly at a stand still. It takes the better part of a minute for all the graphics to render correctly, and in the mean time the screen is split up into a bunch of horizontal bars, some from wha...

Inkscape Runs Slow on the Mac
I've noticed that Inkscape will sometimes run rather slowly on my Mac, especially when I am zoomed in close on a group of many different objects. I tried quitting some of my unnecessary running processes using Activity Monitor and I downloaded the latest version of XQuartz; these did help, but just ...

iPhone 3G
Hey guys, I'm rather new to Inkscape (I downloaded it only two weeks ago), but I've been trying lots of little projects based on tutorials and such I found online so I can learn how to design and create illustrations. This is the first project I've attempted based on an idea I had (ie, not one sugge...
