Adding Gradient to Stroke
I'd like to add a gradient to the 2 top arcs, but when I do, only the fill gets the gradient, and the stroke doesn't (bottom 2 arcs). If I remove the stroke in the arcs then they are too thin. So how do I make it so everything (fill and stroke) gets the same gradient? Basically, I want the arcs to h...

Re: Coloring Lines
Thank you for all your responses. I appreciate them all. I had tried Union as shawnhcorey had suggested, but it wouldn't work. Also, I have used the fill bucket like Jelle said, but this time it didn't work so well. It wouldn't completely, smoothly fill in the wings. It was jagged and rough looking,...

Re: Transparent Background, Cropping (or Rendering) in Inksc
Thank you for replying, and so quick. I tried doing what you said, and it wasn't quite what I'm after. What I want is on the right (Green circle). I want to remove the bottom part of the circle, everything that's below the bird, and I want what's below the bird to be transparent. (In the illustratio...

Removing part of drawing.
Thanks for this product and forum, I really appreciate it. I've been working on some projects for 1-2 years and found Inkscape very good and easy to use. However, I'm trying some more advanced projects and I just can't figure out how to remove the bottom part of the circle (under the black bird). I'...
