of cabbage leafs
Hello, I am curious how the author has achieved this drawing of cabbage leaf. My query is on two aspects: 1. Apparently the shape is drawn with pen tool and multiple copies made. Is it some kind of offset? Or is it clones? 2. Shades of green. Could he (she?) has selected from a palette / swatches or...

Re: elegant way?
Thanks theozh, Somehow I feel my method is bit crude. I was thinking on lines of (but it is not working) 1. Create a rectangle with stroke & fill. 2. Convert object into path. 3. Break Apart 3. Use Node tool. Select both top nodes. Convert into dashed line. Select bottom two nodes, convert into ...

elegant way?
Is there any elegant way to create a rectangle with upper and lower strokes as dashes and straight lines on the sides? The rectangle should have a fill color. I have created the attached rectangle as one without stroke and proceeded to add individual four lines with pen tool. Thanks & Best, nib ...

Re: How to draw a rounded corner with the Bezier Pen tool?
I'm sorry for resurrecting an old post. Found, by accident, another trick. Draw a shape with Bezier tool (with icon - create sequence of straight line segments). The shape may look like posted by user Polygon. Select the shape, go to Path > Dynamic Offset. Adjust the Offset Distance by pulling that ...

Re: these numbers
Wow! Your query is wonderful. For example; take a rectangle tool and draw an arbitrary rectangle. Now, right click on each of those boxes (for example W or H). There is a list of some nicely defined sizes. Try selecting one of them and see what happens :) (Please don't select a large number, your re...

Re: Beginner troubleshooting: Can't draw circles or rectangles
I'm sorry, that may not have been helpful. Start your "Fill & Stroke" tool (shift + ctrl + F) highlight the rectangle, look at bottom left of screen, right click on "None" > click "Remove Stroke", and then select your choicest color from tab Stroke Paint from Fill &...

The Sherlock Holmes in me says "Look at bottom left corner of your screen...
it says stroke = none".

Hello from new member
Hello, I've joined today at Inkscape Forums. I've been exposed to Inkscape for past the 10 years nothing great, just quick work related diagrams. As I now have more time on my hand, I plan to work on Inkscape, Gimp, Scribus and Blender (on Linux platform). My areas of interests are infographics, hum...
