icon 16x16. What colour?

icon 16x16. What colour?

Hello guys recently I've finished few icons for one software.
Actually the guy ask to me if I can do another set but with colors.
Really likes black and white style but wants try with colors as well.
The problem is the resolution is 16x16 and with few gradients I was not satisfied.
Any suggestions?

Light colors and White i think are the best for a professional look.
I'm just someone who likes to create.
