Brilliant work. It's a real show-piece for Inkscape.

You decided to remove the lighting around the headlights?

WOW!!! The best artwork I have seen on this forum so far. Thanks for showing your workflow on screencast. I wonder how many years of practise in doing vectors one would need to achive such results... You have used a reference image just for basic outline or maybe it was used also when doing shadows and gradient fills?

Oh, so it wasn't finished before :) I love how you've added the floor reflection on Herbie.

Owww the 100% looks so much better than the gimp blur one. You put on a lot more reflections. How big is the inkscape file for that?

Fantastic! I would love to ask you to contribute the SVG to share/examples for Inkscape 0.47, but I'm just afraid that Herbie thing or its name is copyrighted in some way. But if you have any other, similarly impressive artowrk but your own concept, please consider contributing it to Inkscape examples!

are you involved at the new Inkscape 0.47 versions? For what directly do you need an Artwork? Should the picture come to the new Inkscape version? Otherwise, I could make for it specially something new.

Yes, we always look for impressive artwork to be distributed with Inkscape. Ideally it should inventively use new features but this is not necessary; if you achieve something incredible with old features we will consider it as well. Also, we would appreciate some nice, complex and detailed screenshots for our site, ideally also using the latest version's features (see http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/ReleaseNotes047 for a list). If you have something, just send it to me and I'll take care of it.
