I opened an image I created in inkscape in Corel Draw (having saved it as a plain SVG), but the image is distorted.
Meaning the images are broken apart and scattered all over the palette....from letters to objects. I have no idea why. Please is there something I should have enabled somewhere? Does anyone have any experience of this happening to them?
Also the image I try to open in Corel has a ton of gradient. Some how corel has turned the whole image into another color ...mostly grey and black. Anybody help, please.
Thanks.

Well, I was hoping someone else might reply with some helpful info, because I really don't have much to share.
You might read this topic, to make sure you followed the proper steps for saving plain SVG (I know it's a long topic, but the info is in there somewhere ). Also, are you sure it must be plain SVG, to be opened in Corel? After that, all I can suggest is looking for some support forum, or something like it, for the Corel program.
I'm sorry I can't be of more help
[Edit] forgot to make the link

Re: Opening the SVG image I made in inkscape in Corel Draw
To get data from Inkscape to CorelDraw: You can save the Inkscape document as a .ps file, which happily imports into CorelDraw. However, if there is text in your Inkscape document, it will need to be converted to paths (Path -> Object to Path) prior to saving as a .ps
I've found that if I don't convert text to paths first, CorelDraw cannot open the .ps file.
Hope this helps.
