[solved] Linking together?

Postby Zambaku » Fri Aug 01, 2008 7:07 am

I was wondering, is it possible to link together for example: a body with an arm so that the arm is hinched at a certain location so that it dosn't move around while being rotated?

Sure, it's called "grouping" in Inkscpe. Select two or more objects and press ctrl+g to group. Select group and press ctrl+shift+g to ungroup. Or use Oject menu.

Cheers. However I meant that it is fixed at one end so it still can be rotated even though it's hinched, like a shoulder.

And if you want to rotate arm around one single point - double click arm and move small "X" sign from its center to position where it touches the body, from now arm will rotate around this point.
