Great forum guys, I saw the tango themed icons that were "possibly" going to be introduced in v0.46, any word on whether there will be a choice for them or not? (Regular vs. tango theme) I thought they were visually appealing and made Inkscape's GUI slick.

even if they are not included with 0.46 you can use them anyway. i love just about everything tango but for some reason i do not find these icons all that appealing. perhaps if i force myself to get used to them. i keep falling back to the default icon set because they have a bolder look.

There won't be a choice in the menu - you'll just need to rename the svg files in the share directory so Inkscape will look at the tango collection instead.

I actually like the tango set. A few of the icons used on the control bar don't work so well, but I think the tools are good.

It's not that the stock icons are bad, I just prefer the tango set now that I've seen it. To each his own.

Hi all, I think tango icons are awesome!
I made some of the previous icons but unfortunatelly it's very difficult to make share icons between the menus (16x16) and toolbars (24x24) look good in both places. It would be great if inkscape would recognize two icons sizes in the file icons.svg (one 16 and one 24).
That way icons would look really slick.
16px icons in the 24px toolbar look a little fuzzy.

A choice between iconset in preferences would be nice.
