I had trouble wording the title, but here's what I'm wondering if others might support as a new feature or function of an existing feature.
Often I have an object, especially circles, placed very percisely, usually centered inside another circle. Then later I find a need to enlarge the inner circle. But when I do, the size increases only upwards and to the right, leaving it now uncentered. And then I usually say "Arg" or something like that

Does anyone else find this to be a problem, or is it just me? Would it be hard to make it so that changes in the size of an object occur around the center, rather than from the bottom-left corner? I suppose there are circumstances where it's advantageous for the change of the size of an object to happen as it does now, otherwise they wouldn't have made it this way. But I'm having a hard time imagining what they would be.
I know that one can use the Align and Distribute dialog, to move a shape back where it was centered before. But it's frustrating to have to use it, when I'm thinking it would be so much easier if changes in shape happen around the center of an object.
So what do you all think? When is it helpful for the size of an object to change from the bottom-left? Would it be helpful to have a choice, when resizing an object? How hard would it be to accomplish this, code-wise?
Or is there already a setting for this that I haven't found, and will be duly embarassed to learn about?

With much appreciation and thanks for your comments
