Problem with user interface language

Postby illcarton » Mon Feb 08, 2016 9:26 pm

Hi All, I'm keen to learn this fantastic free tool. I've just installed and reinstalled it (via the 64 BIT MSI) and unfortunately it's in Swedish when I install. :o :( :? I'm over here in Sweden learning the language (slowly) but I'd much prefer using this in English for now. How do I change it? It's a shame that it never gives you the option to choose this in the install. I'm using Windows 10 OS if that helps.

I tried following the instructions to go to the Edit Menu and change the language there, but that just seems to affect the spell-check, not the interface. So how do I change the language back to English? Any help would be very much appreciated!

So you tried Preferences (Shift + Ctrl + P) -> Interface -> Language ?

Works for me.

Thanks for replying so quickly. Indeed. But that just brings up a popup of a few options, mostly in Swedish. So what do I click on and where? As mentioned above, I had already visited here to adjust the 'Stavningskontroll' to select different 'Sprak' and chose 'en_GB' - but this hasn't changed the interface

Ah thank you! That does help - I was wondering if it was hidden in the other parts of the window, thanks. It was easier once I figured out that the window could be resized to see more on the right, as it didn't have the usual shaded lines at the bottom to indicate that. Thanks! All sorted now.
