You can use svg files in web pages instead of bitmaps.

Have a nice day.
I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1
The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/

Hi.
Probably the website builder saves your images as jpegs -like on facebook- to save bandwidth. And small size jpegs are lossy compressed.
(Would not suggest to share your logo in vectors to the world on your site though if it's not trademarked, nor think the builder's template could handle svg's as per se.)

My question is how exactly you go for the export - which settings are you using with the export-dialog - is your artwork 1:1 in scale with your website/template dimensions - dpi - and so on?

Curious how it can be too big and too small, at the same time....
Do you know the difference between raster graphics and vector graphics? Raster graphic formats include JPG, PNG, GIF. Inkscape is a vector editor, and cannot edit raster images, almost at all. Here's a little info about it:
Basics - Help menu > Tutorials
Manual - Inkscape: Guide to a Vector Drawing Program

This is not my field of expertise but:
Here's info on how to avoid a particular blur problem w/ vertical + horizontal lines:
https://code.google.com/p/pixelsnap/
That extension is available under the menu:
Extensions/Modify_Path/PixelSnap
Also: Blur from rescaling a (raster) image can be avoided by requesting that the browser either *not* scale it, or mitigated by requesting that the browser scale by a regular multiple/fraction. (avoid rescaling *slightly*)
If rescaling is expected/unavoidable, you may be able to mitigate rescaling issues by making the image some reasonable multiple (triple, 5-times , 7-times etc.) of the size it will be rendered at.
Your milage may vary w/ this technique.
Results w/ "photos" vs line-art may be very different.
You may want to verify that you're using a highly compressable format if you do this.
