Hi
My name is Charlie and I am very very new to Inkscape. I am used to using Adobe illustrator but for what I do with it illustrator is not worth the money. Inkscape so far for me is a very clean user friendly software. However I do have one question for anyone who might be able to help.
I am trying to create an image in Inkscape to cut out on my Vinyl Plotter in sign cut software. In illustrator all I would do is create the image and select all and go object, flatten transparency and everything would work. I was wondering does anybody know how to flatten transparency in Inkscape. Im not sure if it would show up as an icon, or maybe be called something different or maybe its more manual inputs i need to do.
Thank you for your help
Charlie
How to Flatten Transparency
Re: How to Flatten Transparency
Welcome Charlie!
The Inkscape canvas is transparent by default. Yes, I know it doesn't show the traditional checkerboard, but it is transparent. I'm not familiar with AI, or what "flatten transparency" actually does. But my guess would be that you don't need to do anything. Have you tried sending it to the cutter/plotter as it is?
