Hi there
I hope someone can help. I am cuting with a roland sv 12 and inkscape on XP and then have no problem, but when I try to do the same on Vista, it only cuts about one third of the page and then STOPS!!!
It's driving me insane. i have work to do and not enough hours in the day, and can't catch up in the evening until I can get this to work.
Hope someone can help me!!
inkscape and the SV12
Re: inkscape and the SV12
As far as I know, there are no issues with using Inkscape on Windows Vista. But you could check over at Launchpad(the Inkscape bug tracker) to see if there are any known issues.
I don't know enough about these cutting machines to know what kind of problems might be indicated by an image being only partially cut. The only thing I can think of is to check and see if the machine and the machine's cutting software is compatible with Vista.
But only cutting part of the image doesn't seem like something that would be the result of a conflict with an operating system. If something were incompatible with Vista, I think you would get no cutting at all. I can't remember if it was you, but someone who has posted topics here has found that changing from portrait to landscape orientation causes a problem with the cutting (or vice versa, I can't remember for sure).
From the Inkscape end of things, I would suggest making sure that your image falls inside the border.
I'm sorry I can't be more help, but hopefully someone else will come along who can help you troubleshoot.
