Hi,
I am incredibly new at using Inkscape yet I have designed a logo and a line of stationery for a client (which they loved !)
My dilemma is now providing the proper documents for the printing company to use. They want the document in pdf format with text converted to outline. I am completely stumped as to how to do this and would greatly appreciate any help.
Thanks.
Lori
Converting Inkscape Design to PDF with Text Outline
Re: Converting Inkscape Design to PDF with Text Outline
Hi Lori,
When saving as PDF make sure "Convert texts to paths" is selected.
That way all text is converted to pure vector paths instead of text.
You can also convert the text to paths inside Inkscape, this way you can edit the paths further and customize the text as you want.
With text selected do from top menu: "Path -> Object to Path"
Same thing goes here, the text is no longer an editable text... it's vector paths which you can edit with
Cheers
