FILLING

Postby kandetees » Fri Feb 12, 2016 12:13 pm

I have a solid black background with black letters. The letters are all black. I put a star in the middle of the "O" and want to fill it. I have done everything that i think would to it to no avail. Please help

Please upload your file, so we can better help.
Have a nice day.

I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1

The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/

the letters that are filled, that normally wouldnt be, need to be not filled. If I could figure out how to erase (seems to be deleting everything) or fill (seems to be doing it in layers) i would understan. But...I cannot figure it out.

Thanks in advance

You can select all (Ctrl+A) and combine (Ctrl+K) to make it better.
-Paths were broken apart, this adds back the holes, where possible. Because some of those are missing.
Check your work in outlines only display mode (Ctrl+Shift+5 on the numpad twice).
