Hi,
I am using CentOS6 with Inkscape 0.49 on it as latest version is not avail for that but for ubuntu only. I am converting SVG to PNG with command
inkcape -z product_1.svg -e product_1.png
which gives me perfect output but not for the underlined texts.
Any solutions for the same, as It is very important feature and want to implement the same.

Re: Convert SVG to PNG with Underline
What exactly is the output, instead? It works fine for me with 0.91 (you must be using 0.48.5 or 0.48.4 - there is no 0.49).
You can use the version from the ppa for Ubuntu, see https://inkscape.org/en/download/ . (maybe that fixes it)
EDIT: Sorry - I somehow overlooked the CentOS...
Object to Path doesn't work with the underlines, unfortunately.
You may need to draw the underlines manually, if that really doesn't work with 0.48.x.

Something doesn't work? - Keeping an eye on the status bar can save you a lot of time!
