Snapping Toolbar lost

Postby niabot » Fri Feb 25, 2011 2:56 am

In Inkscape 0.48 you can control the snapping with the snapping toolbar. As i moved it around (grab n drag) it somehow disappeared. Now i tried to get it back. But it won't show up again. The Menu-Entry shows that it should be visible, but it isn't. It is somewhere, but not on my screen. Not hiding in the sidebar or anything. Im stuck.

Not even after you restart Inkscape?

Also, just check that it has perhaps been moved to the right hand side of the main window.
It will do this if if you have "Default" set in the "View" pull-down menu.
You may have another window covering it, if it is there on the right.
I had the same scare one time before, and it was right there all the time.

Possibly your window manager is interfering. Or did you switch between using one monitor and a dual screen setup?

Have you tried switching between the three toolbar layouts (listed at the bottom of the 'View' menu)? IIRC this can restore the original layout if some floating toolbars don't reattach properly.
