Bezier Curve

Postby cosmickitty » Thu Aug 13, 2015 7:26 am

Potentially stupid question... so I'll apologize in advance. I'm learning how to use inkscape and I was following some beginners tutorials on youtube. The instructions said to use a bezier curve with the "triangle in" setting to create a pointed line, but when I do the same thing this is what I get: http://puu.sh/jzhaK/579b947cc1.png

I'm not sure if there's a specific setting I need to edit or if I'm doing something wrong... any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Oh, and here's the tutorial and where I'm at: https://youtu.be/KZ-ECm2lK50?list=PL74A72E21B6AAE42C

Thank you!

Not a stupid question.

Guessing you use 0.91 where the triangle shape is implemented by powerstroke live path effect, and you need to look for a pink handle at the stroke's start -with the node tool, select the object and pull the handle to the preferred width.

Also, the shape would come out more if you add a black fill and no stroke to the object.
