After a lot of Team Fortress 2 related fan art, I wanted create something more personal.
After discovering new inkscape spiro tool I saw the possibility to realize an old paper sketch.
Here is the result:

Wow, it's really big!
I think the white skin is too much contrast for the darker, richer colors. Even if your intent is a pale effect, you could use a little darker tone, but maybe use a little blur, to emphasize the paleness. (Just an idea.) Other than that, it's a nice image. I like when part of the image extends outside a border like that. I think I might even put a couple of other strands of hair outside, but toward the opposite sides, for balance. (just another idea )

Actually I think you are right, the skin tone is too bright and catches too much the focus...
