Correctly display css values

Postby capnhud » Tue Apr 22, 2008 1:41 am

I am trying to make sure this is not a bug or if inkscape just does not handle this.

I created a short sentence in the the font variant was small-caps, if I edit this with the xml editor and click set the css property disappears and will not display correctly inside of inkscape. But if I save the document and then edit with text editor the text maintains the small-cap value and will display correctly in a browser, but not inkscape is this correct behavior or is there a fix for this?

I don't know for sure, since I'm not a developer, but I think this is expected. I've read before that Inkscape is quite rude about removing information it doesn't support (kinda like some WYSIWYG editors will mess your hand-written HTML).

I don't know why this is. I would think it would be easier to preserve code rather than remove it.

Kinda makes doing a particular effect difficult when inkscape will play right.

How do you select a single element within another element using CSS? For instance, If you have a paragraph and you want one word in that paragraph to be a different color than the rest of its elements, how would you do that using CSS?
