The Bezier Curve tool is acting seriously wiggy in the new version. I'm trying to draw a background object with multiple points connected by curves. Before I upgraded, this sort of shape was a slam dunk. Now the tool keeps closing the curve after three points and won't let me add new points. This is not a matter of lack of experience. I've created hundreds of shapes in Inkscape. Any ideas on how to fix this?

once again I suspect your mouse or pointing device s double clicking when you mean to single click. The other possibility is that your bez tool's default shape is ellipse when you upgraded to the latest version. Also check to see if it might be set to Spiro. Although since you have a lot of experience you have checked these things already

The current version is 0.92.4 - you should probably update first.
