Hi Milan,
I think you already know about Text on Path, if I recall from previous topics? (although I could be wrong) But it sounds like you are asking something different here. Correct?

As far as I know, the only way to place text around a circle, is with text on path. You could manipulate the circle or circular path, so that the path starts at....let's say 9 o'clock. Then the text "INKSCAPE" will start there. Next you would have to manipulate either the size of the circle, or the size of the text (or both) (and/or kerning) to make sure that the text "INKSCAPE ends at 12 o'clock. You could then duplicate that text on path, and rotate the circle by 90 degrees, to get the 2nd instance of "INKSCAPE".

But exactly how you are asking, I don't think Inkscape can do that. .....but I'm still thinking.....

Well, with the Ellipse tool, you can make what Inkscape calls "segments" and "arcs". I suppose you could make a segment so that it's shaped like 1/4 pie (hmm, now I want some pie, lol) and place the text along the round edge of that. (I know that you can place text on a circle, without converting to path. But I'm not sure if text could be placed on the "segment" without converting to path.)

Is there some reason why you need to create this text, in this way? Maybe someone will know another approach, if we know more about the circumstances.

hi brynn,
Every time u convenes.but never proper solution.
user draw any thing in editing software. But first full fill basic functionality.
in corel draw this thing very easily.no circle draw for this matter.
Only text and apply parameter.

Well, I knew I did not have the solution you were looking for. Maybe I should not have answered at all. But rather then leave your question unanswered (which often happens if there is no solution to a member's problem) I tried to give you as much information as I could, about what I know of Inkscape's capabilities.

I'm sorry that Inkscape apparently can't do what you want.

I will no longer answer your messages, if you prefer that I not.
