I Vectorized my Wife!
This is an avatar image that I created for my wife. It has taken me a couple of days because I am creating a 12 part video tutorial series around it. I go through the entire process of doing this (no artistic talent needed) in real time with minimal cuts and zero fast forwarding. You should expect to see the series available by the end of the week.

You're pretty good at that. I look forward to seeing your tutorial. I've tried to vectorize myself, but it never comes out right.

Ok, all 13 videos are now complete and posted on our site. Creating a Realistic Avatar.
The SVG file will also be made available on our site.
The entire series consists of just under 2 hours of footage. I recorded the entire process with no cuts and no fast forwarding. I tried to fill the boring parts with me talking about design principles that I hope you will find helpful.
The reason that I did not fast forward or cut is because I think that there is enough of that already on the internet. I did not want to create another speed painting that is good for nothing more than inspiration. However I don't deny that these speed paintings do have a place, and are neat. I just wanted to create something that is more instructive and helpful.

Your vector is impressive. Creating organic-shapped shaded areas can be quite tedious--you've done a great job.

Although I haven't gotten around yet to following your tutorial and vectorizing myself, I have been watching them in preparation for it. Great job on the video tutorials

Thanks TKR, thats what I love about video tutorials.. they are very easy to watch at your own pace. No deadlines or anyone pushing you to hurry. No final exams or mid-terms. Just a lot of learning what you want to learn when you want to learn it.

That's the best kind of learning
