help needed quick!
I am trying to export a print ad I've just created into either a pdf or eps. Promblem is the bottom layer (background) is not included in the export. What the hell do I do?
Re: help needed quick!
Do you actually mean that you have created a layer called "background" which isn't exporting, or do you just mean the white (usually) background that Inkscape displays as the background to the drawing area?
If it's the latter, the easiest solution is to create a filled rectangle that's at least as large as the page area, colour it with the right background colour, and send it to the back of the drawing. By default Inkscape creates transparent graphics (at least when exporting to PNG which is all I tend to do), so you have to add your own "background" element if you want one.

Re: help needed quick!
I managed to work around the issue in time for the dead line...
I discovered that the background (a jpeg image on a discreet layer) would not appear when the file was saved as a pdf or eps. This was due to the application on the dark and glow filter. When I removed the filter and replaced it with the darken edges filter all worked well.
I have no idea why one filter would prevent the file from saving correctly...any ideas?
