Hello everybody,

I've just installed and opened Inkscape! No problem, exept for one very strange thing : I can't use any fonts when I use the text function!
I can open the pulldown menu; inside all my Western and also Chinese fonts (I live in Shanghai) appear- until now no problem-, but when I click in one of them, nothing happens!! For instance, if I write 'yes', it's impossible to me to chose a so basic font as Arial for my 'yes'! (By default, the font 'chosen' by inscape is 'Sans ', as if it was the biginning of the 'Sans serif...' font name!)

So could you help me??? Has this kind of problem already happened to other people?

NB : my environment is a French Windows Xp, in a Toshiba Satellite notebook.

Use the advanced text dialog, accessed by pressing Shift+Ctrl+T

With this method, no problem anymore : I was able to chose everyone of the fonts I want! So Inkscape has no problem even with the last developments of Unicode!

Great, problem resolved!

Now, I can use the tutorials to learn more!
