Hi,
The program freezes after a while. The buttons with tools dont respond to clicks, the top menu responds to cklick but items in the menu dont respond to click, etc. The problem appears more often when I use Word. I have Inkscape 0.92 on Win10 64-bit, Intel i7, 8 GB RAM.
I tried portable Inkscape 0.45, it works perfectly!
Thanks

Re: Inkscape Freezing
Well, we might try and troubleshoot here a little bit, before reporting a new bug. There may be another way to accomplish the goal, without "hitting" the "bug". Or it may be that the bug is already reported.
I have heard reports that 0.91 and 0.92.x are slower on Windows. But if a cause has been found, I haven't seen it.
Can you tell us specifically what you are doing, when the freeze occurs? If you could provide a test SVG file, that would be awesome!
Is this problem happening in a new blank file? Or is it only in larger files, or maybe files with some particular feature? Edit - Also please tell us how long the freeze is lasting.
I'm not proposing this as a solultion, since it does sound buggish. But just so you can keep working in the meanwhile, here are some tips for continuing to work in a large file, or any file showing performance issues. https://forum.inkscapecommunity.com/ind ... article=35
